In pseudohypoparathyroidism as reported by Albright in 1942, the parathyroid gland can normally synthesize and secrete parathyroid hormone(PTH). Pseudohypoparathyroidism has a similar biochemical finding with hypoparathyroidisms like hypocalcemia and hyperphosphatemia due to target tissue resistance to PTH.
