Purpose : Asthma is known to be related to serum IgE levels. But it is not ascertained whether there is a relation between serum IgE levels and airway hyperresponsiveness to methacholine challenge. For this reason we studied the relation between the serum IgE levels and airway hyperresponsiveness or responsiveness in regard to asthma, allergic rhinitis, and atopic dermatitis.
