- A Case of Primary Hyperparathyroidism in Infancy

- Abstract
- Primary hyperparathyroidism is very rare and often fatal disease in childhood. We experienced a case in which a 4 months old male patient complaning of lethargy, hypotonia, respiratory difficulty showed typical laboratory and radiological findings compatible to primary hyperparathyroidism.
He was successfully treated with total parathyroidectoimy with partial parathyroid autotrans-plantation. Thus the case of primary hyperparathyroidism in infancy is presented with a brief review of literatures.
