- Abstract
- Mycobacteria causes disease which occur over the world. The development of reliable serological teset for the diagnosis of tuberculosis in humans has been complicated by the large degree of cross reactivitiy between antigens of Mycobacteria species can be used as a tool for serodiagnosis of tuberculosis. Fourteen monoclonal antibodies to perchloric acid extract antigen of M. bovis BCG were produced. Immunoglobulin isotypes of monoclonal antibodies were all immunoglobulin M. In the autoradiography and colum chromatography, monoclonal antibody detected antigen of 65 kD from M. bovis BCG. In the immunofluorescence assay, the monoclonal antibody showed a positive reaction with intact BCG bacilli and M. tuberculosis in the pulmonary tissue of tuberculous patinet.
