- Abstract
- Necrotizing lymphadenitis(named as "Kikuchi disease"), initially described by a Japanese pathologist as "a histiocytic necrotizing lymphadenitis with paracortical necrosis, plasmacytoid monocytes infiltration and prominent phagocytic appearance" has been found worldwide. Be-cause of its self-limited course, it has been well known that what should be considered as more important issues are its deatiled pathologic criteria for confirmation and thorough concern about differential diagnostic entities such as malignant lymphoma, SLE, cat-scratch disease rather than merely its clinical or therapeutic consequence. Upto date, there have been several domestic reports about this entity, hut those in pediatric field were very few. So these authors reported three cases occurred in childhood with comments in literatural references.
