The results were as follow: 1) S-GOT or S-GPT were increased abnormally in 38.3% and fatty livers were suspected. 2) Serum cholesterol was over 200mg% in 48.2%. 3) Serum triglyceride was over 150 mg% in 36%. 4) HDL-cholesterol was below 400 mg% in 18.3%. 5) LDL-cholesterol was over 110 mg% in 65.7%. There was no correlation between LDL-cholesterol and obesity index. 6) Atherosclerosis index was over 3 in 56.7%. 7) The incidence of complication in severely obese children: hyperlipidemia in 60.7%, fatty liver in 38.3%, hypertension in 7.4%, diabetes mellitus in 0.38%. 8) Children who have more than one complication were 81.3% in male, 75.5% in female, and 78. 3% in overall 324 severely obese children.
