- Abstract
- Cerebral gigantism, the condition described by Sotos et al in 1964, consists of excessively rapid
growth rating from infancy followed by a normal growth rate, acromegalic features, and a non-
progressive neurological disorder manifested by clumsiness. The etiology of cerebral gigantism is not
clear. Increased growth hormone levels have not been documented and somatomedin activity was
found to be within normal range as yet reported.
We experienced two cases of cerebral gigantism in 1 10/12 and 7 year old girls with a brief review
of literatures.
