- Abstract
- A female child aged 7 months was admitted because of high fever, vomiting and stuporous
conciousness and revealed to have hemolytic uremic syndrome. Anuria persisted 13 days and required
peritoneal dialysis 4 times a day during the anuric period. Her kidney function recovered somewhat
after dialysis but neurologic complications of marked hydrocephalus and brain atrophy remained.
