A Clinical Study of Febrile Convulsion and Factors Related to Recurrence.

Abstract
65 Cases of febrile convulsion were reviewed in terms of their clinical pictures and factors related to their recurrences. Seemingly related factors are: 1) age of first episode: The age of first ipisode was under 12months of age in 11.4% of initial cases and 46.7% of recurrent cases. 2) family history of convulsive disorder: There were family history of convulsive disorder in 23.4% of recurrent cases, compare to 2.9% of initial cases. 3) duration of episode: Duration of episode was less than 5mins in 71.5% of initial cases, whereas it was only 46.7% in recurrent cases.
