- Abstract
- Aplasia cutis congenita is a rare disease presenting in the newborn infant as localized areas of skin
defect.
In the majority of instances, this is limited to the scalp, although other areas of body may also be
involved. Other congenital malformations have been reported to occur with aplasia cutis congenita.
We observed a newborn infant with aplasia cutis congenita. The skin defect was found on the both
lower legs without any other congenital malformations.
