- Abstract
- It has been accepted that psychosocial difficuties are frequently associated with asthma of childhood, as etiologic factor and/or consequence of the disease. Management of these psychosocial
problems has great impact on the course of asthma and early finding of the problems has been
strongly advocated.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate psychosocial functioning of asthmatic patients and
compare them with other groups of children.
The resuts were follows;
1) Mean PSC scores of each group were: asthma 17.0±7.6(Mean±SD), chronic disease 20.0±9.6,
acute disease 16.6±8.7 normal control 17.3±8.0. There were significant differences between normal
