- Abstract
- Incontinentia pigmenti is a complex hereditary syndrome in which vesicular, verrucous and
pigmented cutaneous lesions are associated with developmental defects of the eye, skeletal system
and central nervous system.
A case of incontinentia pigmenti associated with convulsions, Block-Sulzberger type, is presented
with a review of related literatures.
The patient was a 40 day-old female infant with convulsions and verrucous, dark brown pigmented
lesions on the trunk and extremities.
Diagnosis was made by the characteristic clinical, laboratory and histopathologic findings.
