- Abstract
- Nesidioblastosis is an extremely rare disorder of unknown origin, resulted from inappropriate control of early development of endocrine pancreas. The authors experienced a case of nesidioblastosis, in a 1 day old male neonate whose blood sugar was 3mg/dl at birth and hypoglycemia had persisted thereafter.Near total pancreatectomy was done and diagnosis was confirmed by histologic findings of biopsied specimen.
A brief review of related literature was made,.
