- Abstract
- Osteopetrosis is a rare disease causing an abnormal sclerosing of bone. We experienced a case of osteopetrosis
in a 3 month old infant, who has had frequent upper respiratory tract infection, progressive pallor, abdominal distention and growth retardation, which was diagnosed by clinical features, radiological examinations, laboratory examinations and bone marrow biopsy. Radiological examinations showed generalized sclerosis of bone,
dense orbital roof and skull base, and metaphyseal flaring of long bone. We made a brief review of literature.
