A Case of Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita.

Abstract

A case of Arthrogryposis in 8 days old male baby is reported in Incheon Gill Hospital. This patient was admitted with chief complaints of multiple joint contracture and respiratory disturbance and was expired due to sepsis and respiratory infection. The diagnosis was made by clinical finding, and histologic finding. Histologic findings were reported degeneration of the anterior horn cell of the spinal cord and a decrease in the number of muscle fiber and, in the transverse diameter of the individual fibers. A brief review of the literature was made.
