- Abstract
- Isoimmune hemolytic disease of the newborn is a disease which is caused by maternal sensitization to
one of the fetal blood factors.
This report presented two esses of isoimmune hemolytic disease due to anti-E in 2 male newborns who were admitted to Seoul University Hospital because of jaundice. Antibody screening and antibody identification tests were made which revealed anti-E antibody in both cases. One case was treated with one time of exchange transfusion and phototherapy and the other one with only phototherapy. So jaundice was improved in both cases.
