- Abstract
- Myelodysplastic syndrome is a disorder of the marrow stem cell characterized initially by ineffective erythropoiesis, an abnormal bone marrow, and peripheral blood cytopjenia. Recently MDS was classified into 5 subtypes by the F rench-American-British (FAB) Cooperative Group: (1) Refractory anemia(R.A.), (2) RA with ring sideroblast, (3) RA
with excess of blast(RAEB), (4) Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) and (5) RAEB in transformation.
We observed one case of MDS(RAEB) which transformed into erythroleukemia after 17 months and report that case with autopsy finding.
