A Case of Cerebral Paragonimiasis.

Abstract

The authors experienced a case of cerebral paragonimiasis with severe eosinophilia in a 13 year old female patient. Since several years ago, she frequently drank spring water with her family, especially, with her father. She came to the hospital because of speech disturbance, weakness of right upper extremity and maculopapular skin rashes of lower half of body. In her family history, her father has also been suffering from chronic cough with bloody sputum since several months ago.Diagnosis was confirmed by laboratory and radiologic findings. A brief reveiw of literature was made.
