- Abstract
- In 80 children with isolated ventricular septal defect, quantitation of left to right shunts was performed using oximetry and rdionuclide angiocardiography(RNA). The radionuclide angiocardiograms were acquired and analized by a gamma camera interfaced to a digital computer system. Pulmonary to systemic f!ow(Qp/Qs) ratios were calculated by analysis of pulmonary time-activity histograms using a gamma variate model. A comparison of the values for Qp/Qs ratio obtained by oximetry and RNA in all of the 80 patients revealed a correlation coefficent of O.69(P
