- Abstract
- We experienced a case of human fascioliasis in a 4-y-old male child who had been suffered from abdominal pain, pallor and intermittent generalized edema for about 21 months. Diagnosis was established by eggs of Fasciola species in stool and by double diffusion analysis. After treatment with bithionol, the symptoms were disappeared rapidly and the eggs also disappeared. A brief review of the literatures was made.
