- A Case of Wilson's Disease.

- Abstract
- This was a case of Wilson’s disease found in a 14 year old Korean boy
1) The patient showed abdominal distension, splenomegaly, pitting edema on the lower
extremity, and Kayser-Fleischer ring on the corneal margin of both eyes.
2) The laboratory findings showed low level of ceruloplasmin (3.5 mg/dl) and high level of
urinary copper(284.8 ug per day). 3) D-penicillamine (1.0 gm per day) and low copper diet were given, and we observed decreased size of spleen and improvement of symptoms in two weeks. The patient was discharged.
