- Abstract
- This is a case report of congenital multiple jejunoileal atresia with massive mesenteric:
defect around the ileum. He was born by mid-wife and transferred to our Dep't of Pediatrics,.
In Cheon Gil Hospital on Feb. 9th’ 1981. Vomiting noted one time 17 hours after birth and
abdominal film disclosed markedly geseous distention of stomach and duodenum and no gas。
in the ileum and colon. The diagnosis was confirmed by operation.
The operative findings showed that markedly dilated proximal jejunum approximately
10 cm below the Treitz ligament and distal to obstructed loop, there were 2 blind loops of
the colon was dilated normally with the infusion of normal saline at the just beyond the-
ileal atresia. And then removed the blind loops and a single layer end-to-side jejunoileostomy-
was done. And reviewed literatures briefly.
