- Abstract
- A 31-months old boy was seen because of a hard left testicular mass. An orchiectomy was performed and the testis was found to be displaced by tumor tissue. The diagnosis was seminoma. A chest x-ray at the time of operation showed metastatic tumor in the lung. Seminoma is very sensitive to radiotherapy even after metastasis develops. But no radiation was given to this case. Thirteen months after discovery and four and one half months after the removal of the tumor, the boy developed extensive metastasis and died.
