- Two cases of Diabetes insipidus

- Abstract
- Case 1: A 14 years old Korean boy who has a history of polydipsia, polyuria and visual disturbance admitted to Kyungpook University Hospital on Feb., 10, 1959. Summary : (1)Urine test showed lower specific gravity (1,002).
(2) According to X-ray findings of skull, it supposed most probably due to craniopharyngeoma and he has catarracta in his right eye. (3)2 units of pitressin daily was started and continued for 3 months but there was little
improvement. Case 2 : A 8 years old Korean boy admitted to our hospital on March 31, 1959 with a history
of polydipsia, polyuria and visual disturbance following tuberculous meningitis 5 years ago. Summary :
(1) Urine t©3t showed lower specific gravity (1,000) (2) X-ray findings of the skull revealed a supraasllular calcification and he has optic atrophy of both eyes. (3)2 units of pitressin daily was used for him during following 3 months and he has shown considerable improvement
