- Abstract
- A case of Collodion Baby is reported in Korea. The patient is the first day old newborn male who has been suffering from excessive lamellated scale, tight looking appearance and covering entire body, typical features of parchment like skin, ectropion of upper eyelids and fixed semiflexion position of the limbs. This patient was desquamated from parchment and Collodion like menbrane and returned to normal looking skin from the second day of life to a month. The cause of this patient may be due to autosomal recessive inheritance. Diagnosis of Collodion Baby was established by clinical features, histopathological and laboratory studies, and a brief review of literatures was made
also.
