Clinical Observations of Acute Hemiplegia in Childhood.

Abstract

Four cases of acute hemiplegia were observed from 1964 to 1970 at Seoul National University Hospital & National Medical Center. The results are as follows; 1)Age of onset was under three of Age in three quarters and male to female sex ratio was three to one. 2)All cases had apopletiform onsets. 3)Rt sided hemiplegias were observed in three quarters. 4)Facial palsies were presentin half cases. 5)Mental retardations & epilepsies were present in almost all cases. 6)CSF findings were within normal limits in all- cases, and a distinct abnormalities were demons trated on pneumoencephalography in one case.
