- A Case of Parasitic Epignathus

- Abstract
- Authors had ovserved a case of epignathus which was asymmetric conjoined twin with bizarre parasite attached to left maxilla of autosite,aged 2 days,at Department o£ Pediatrics, Busan National University Hospital.
On the 2nd admission day, parasitic epignathus was removed surgically, which was composed of one leg with a well developed nail(5X2Xlcm), one arm(3X2X lcm), rudimentary pelvis(8X6.8X lcm) and unclassified brain like sac resembled hematoma(8.5 X 5.2 X 2cm). On 15th admission day, patient was able to feed whole milk successfully without dyspneic difficulty and became to gain weight normally.
