Abstract
It is well known that many endocrine substances, esp. steroid hormones, affect the serum cholesterol metabolism. On one hand the pituitary grwth hormone has an influence upon the lipid metabolism and the gradual increase in serum cholesterol level may have something to do with this hormone.
