- Abstract
- Determination was made of the Leucine aminopeptidase (LAP) activities and the protein concentration in the colostrum, early and later milk, of 6 cases of normal primipara and multipara respectively, with the following results. 1)The activities of LAP and the concentration of protein among primipara and multipara showed
the highest values in the colostrum, tended to decrease thereafter, and the values in the permanent milk showed almost constant level in both groups. 2) It was of significance that the increase of LAP activities and protein concentration in the colostrum was noted both in primipara and multipara, the initial level of the former being higher than that of the later, but reaching to the same value in the permanent milk.
