- Abstract
- This is a report of a 29 Months Old Male with Hand-Schiiller-Christian’s disease. The patient was admitted with the complaints of continuous headache, severe tenderness over the skull lesions and marked limitation of neck movement due to pain. He illustrated right side exophthalmos, hepatosplenomegaly and mild retardation of growth. Although, multiple lytic bony lesions and destruction of the sella turcica were noted on the X-ray of the skull, diabetes insipidus was abscent. On the histologic examination from the skull lesion, we found numerous histiocytic proliferation and modesate infiltrations of the eosinophils and lymphocytes. Steroid therapy was induced with some improvement of clinical manifestations, including diminution of the skull defects.
