- Abstract
- A case of Di Guglielmo Syndrome (Erythroleukemia) in 7 year-old female patient is presented, who had characteristic clinical and histopathologic findings. The patient was manifested, by generalized weakness, anorexia, and pallor prior to admission. The peripheral blood revealed increase in number of nucleated cells, predominantly erythroid, series associated with anemia and thrombocytopenia. The bone marrow aspiration also showed
marked increase in population of erythroid cells including atypical rubriblasts and prorubricytes. Authors report the case with review of pertinent literatures because erythroleukemia is a relatively rare blood dyscrasia.
