- A Case of Gargoylism

- Abstract
- A case gargoylism manifesting grotesque facial appearance, mental and growth retardation, and hepatomegaly is presented. Laboratory tests including Reilly’s bodies in the polymorphonuclear neutrophils were not demonstrated but roentgenographic examinations revealed broad ribs in the chest, mild dorsolumbar kyphosis with inferior beak like appearance of the dorsolumbar vertebral bodies, club appearance of the long bones and bowing of the femur.
Brief review of literatures was made.
