- Abstract
- This is to report a case of the “Cri du Chat” syndrome, who has been /admitted to the Department of Pediatrics, Kyung Hee University Hospital. ;The patient was a H-month old Korean female infant, brought to the hospital because of growth retardation and pneumonia. The diagnosis of the “Cri du Chat” syndrome was established by the typical cat-crying voice, mental retardation, physical stigma, dermatoglyphic findings, and finally the classical chro-
mosome abnormality(46, XX, 5p-). To the best knowledge of the authors, the present case is the first one, ever reported in Korean literature. Relevant literatures were reviewed in brief.
