A Case of Habitual Alcoholism in Children

Abstract
Alcoholics was defined by WHO as those excessive drinkers whose dependence upon alcohol has attained such a degree that they show a noticeable mental disturbance or an interference with their mental and bodily health, their interpersonal relations and their smooth social and economic function. Although habitual alcoholism by children in general is not a frequent occurrence, it does occur and has been reported. We experienced a case of habitual alcoholism in 12 year^old male child who began drinking in. order to relieve anixiety such as recurrent abdominal pain and he had oral indulgence, introversion and dependence in his personality. Literatures were briefly reviewed.
