- Abstract
- Alcoholics was defined by WHO as those excessive drinkers whose dependence upon alcohol
has attained such a degree that they show a noticeable mental disturbance or an interference with
their mental and bodily health, their interpersonal relations and their smooth social and economic
function. Although habitual alcoholism by children in general is not a frequent occurrence, it does occur
and has been reported. We experienced a case of habitual alcoholism in 12 year^old male child
who began drinking in. order to relieve anixiety such as recurrent abdominal pain and he had oral indulgence, introversion and dependence in his personality. Literatures were briefly reviewed.
