- Abstract
- A case of Systemic Lupus Erytheatosus was present concerning the clinical manifestaitions and Lab
findings with reference to literatuses.
The patient was a 12-year-old Korean primary school girl who was admitted to this hospital on
september 26th, 1972 with chief Complaints of generalized edema, cough, fever, fatiguability and
facial pecurial rach.
On examination at the time of admission, there showed a butterfly rash on the face, generalized
edema & hepatomegaly.
Moist rales could be heard on the both lung fields & pleural effusion & precardial friction rub were
also noted.
Examination of peripheral blood revealed anisocytic hypochvomic anemia, leukopenia, & positive
L. E Cells.
Several immune responses including positive eaction to V.D. R.L., direct CoomVs test, & C-reactive
protein were observed with elevated E.S.R., y-globulin, thymol turbidity & reversed A/G ratio etc.
Prednisolone, Chloroquine & supportive medsures were tried with considerable improvement of her
clinical & laloratory findings.
