- Abstract
- Determination of hepatitis associated antigen to study the possible transmission of SH antigen from
pregnant women to their newborn infant.
None of the 7 children born by HAA carrier mother showed HAA in cord blood.
These results indicated the HAA can not be transmitted across the placenta barrier.
But one of the 7 children born by HAA carrier mother became HAA positive in the 2 months of life.
It is suggested that possibility of transmission of HAA from mother to newborn infant by paranatal
