- Electrocadiographic Change in Acute Stage of Japanese B Encephalitis

- Abstract
- Electrocardiographic study was done in 80 cases of Japanese B Encephalitis in acute stage admitted
to the department of paediatrics Chonnam university hospital during 3 months from Aug. to Oct.
in 1973 and the following results were obtained.
1. Total 80 cases consisted of 50 males and 30 femal and the prominant age incidence was in
the 4-year to 7-year old age.
2. Right axis deviation of the heart was in 20. Q% and 13. 8% of clockwise rotation was noted.
Prominant heart position was vertical in 48.1%,
3. P-R interval was prolonged in 17. 5%.
4. Flattened P wave was noted in 7. 5% and S-T segment changes in 8. 8%.
5. The prolongation of Q-T interval was noted in 31.2%.
6. Extrasystole was noted in 1. 3% and I.R.B.B.B. in 5. 0%.
