- Abstract
- Comparative studies were made of potassium, sodium and chloride level in the serum and
cerebrospinal fluid in the patients with tuberculous meningitis in chidhood.
The significant serum-cerebrospinal gradient was observed in the potassium level, but not in
the sodium level whereas the normal concentration gradient between serum and cerebrospinal
fluid is a great deal lessened in the chloride.
And also the levels of sodium and chloride were significantly depressed below the normal levels
in both serum and CSF.
