Neuromyelitis Optica

Abstract
A Case of c'inically typical neuromyelrtis optica is reported. The patient was 6 year-old-boy who was admitted to our hospital due to sudden loss of visual acuity and ascending paraplegia for 7 days duration on April-4th, 1970. Transient recovery of visual acuity and imp roverment of muscle power occured about 2 weeks after the onset, butthey were aggravated again 1 week later, and remained unchanged until 5 months after onset in spite of use of prednisolone, Inohexa and etc. We also reviewed the articles oriefly.
