- Abstract
- Clinical and immunologic reactions were observed on 152 orphan children who were injected Schwarz Strain of measles vaccine. And also, platelet was counted to observe the effect o£ measles vaccine on the platelet. In these procedures, we could obtain the following results: 1) Febrile reactions were observed in 34.2% of total 152 children whom measles vaccine were injected. 2)Mean duration of fever was 1. 8 days, and mean time of appearence of febrile reactions was 9.1th day after vaccination. 3)Immunologic reactions were positive in 9 out of 11 children examined. The mean neutralization titer was 1 : 55.6. 4)Platelet was decreased in 43. 2% of vaccinated children. Effect on the platelet of Schwarz Strain was less marked than that of Edmonston strain.
