Exophthalmos in Leukemia: A Review of 9 Cases

Abstract
Clinical observation was made on 9 cases of leukemia presenting exophthalmos out of 108 cases leukemia during 10 years from 1960 to 1969 at the department of pediatrics, Seoul National University Hospital 1. The incidence of exophthalmos among 108 cases of all leukemias was 8.3%, and sex ration was male/female=3. 5/1 with the age range between 9 months to 13 years, the most of the patients were under 5 years of age. 2.Exophthalmos was found most commonly in actute myelocytic type (6 out of 9 cases), and it’s incidence in this type was 19. 4%. 3. In 4 out of 9 cases, exophthalmos was the initial symptom in those patients.
