- Abstract
- The authors observered a case of congenital microcolon in a 7 day old Korean male newborn infant. He had shown characteristic features of intestinal obstruction such as abdominal distension, vomiting and passage failure of meconium. The main lesion located on the duodeno-jejunaljunction as a short area of stenosis with neighbouring adhesion to transverse colon and Treitz ligament. And the proximal third of the ileum and the entire colon showed very narrow lumen as pencil-like appearance. An one stage anastomsis was done but failed to have recovery. And added an analysis of literatures.
