- Vitamin D Deficiency Rickets

- Abstract
- Cases of vitamin D deficiency rickets were reported especially in the respects enviromented factors, such as house hold, house structure, and feeding history and blood chemistry. All of them were low socio-economic families malnourished and small living room. Average number of families in one room were 6 and the patients were average 4th siblings. Rice gruel was taken the place of breast milk from 2~3 month of age by most cases, falling into malnutrition state In the malnutrition state, advanced rickets were found easily clinically and roentgenographically.
But serum calcium phosphorus level and alkaline phosphatase changes were little help in diagnosis.
