Acute Spinal Epidural Abscess: Report of two cases and review of the literature

Abstract

Spinal epidural abscess is one of the rare disease. Two cases of spinal epidural abscess both found in twelve year old male and female patients have been presented. Both cases were combined with staphylococcal septicemia. The female patient was improved after total laminectomy from T6 to L5. The male patient died during the operation of total laminectomy from T2 to sacrum. A literature review was made on this subject.
