Mucoprotein Contents of Serum and Cerebrospinal Fluid in Children

Abstract

The 8 normal children and 18 ceses of Micephalitis japonica were selected to determine the serum mucoprotein, mucoprotein and total protein value of cerebrospiftal fluid. Pronounced increase of mucoprotein contents was observed in the cerebrospinal fluid of encephalitis japonica with only slight increase in their sera. No constant relationship of the increase in cerebrospinal fluid to that of sera coulH be recogaiaed.
