Abstract |
Thymolipoma is a benign anterior mediastinal tumor composed of thymic tissue and mature adipose
elements. The tumor is so rare that only 60 cases are reported in the world, and only 2 cases are reported in
Korea.
We have experienced two cases of thymolipoma in two thirteen-year-old boys. One had had chest pain and
exertional dyspnea for 1 month but the other had no symptom. They were found by routine chest PA and by
chest CT and confirmed by pathology after operations. The sized were 12X18X10 cm, 550 gm and 12X16X
10 cm, 450 gm respectively.
