Abstract |
One patient with a history of recurrent bacterial meningitis was examined with skull and sinus
radiographs, routine cranial computed tomography and immunologic evaluation. None of these
studies were diagnostic.
Thin-section (1-2 mm) direct coronal computed cranial tomography demonstrated congenital
cribriform plate defect.
This patient was repaired surgically and no further meningitis has developed for 16 months |
