Abstract |
In 22 samples of infant formula, marketed in Korea, from Apr. 1986 to Oct. 1986, trace elements
especially Zn and Cu levels were examined by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer.
The results were as follows;
1) B-milk, zinc supplemented, contained Zn 863.23 ±50.52 ㎍/100 g, there were no relations with
manufacturing date.
2) A-milk and C-milk contained variable levels from absent to 641.19 ㎍/100 g in Zn, 20.02㎍/100g in Cu.
3) B-milk for premature, same manufacturing date, contained Zn 341.12±28.18 ㎍/100 g,
Cu 13.93+7.15㎍/100g. Zn and Cu levels, most of infants formula marketed in Korea now, are under
the levels recommanded by FAO/WHO.
