A radiographic investigation of the ossification centers of the right wrist, ankle, and hand of 3,413 Korean healthy children was performed. The results are as follows: 1)The ages at which the ossification centers appear are described in Table 17. 2)The ossification centers appear earlier in the female children than in the male.
3)The ages of appearance of ossification centers of Korean children differ from those of foreigners
probably due to differences of climate, race, and the way of life.
