Abstract |
In recent years, many cases of so called cerebral rete itiirabile have been reported in Japan and Korea.
The abnormal cerebrovascular network at the base of the brain could be shown by the carotid angiography and it seems to be related with the occulsion of the internal carotid arteries. Since the authors have observed 4 cases of similar vascular abnormalities in Korean children recently by carotid angiography, the clinical findings and angiographic featutes of these cases were presented. All of these had the episodes of convulsion and speech disturbance and/or unilateral weakness or paraplegia of extremities were developed in 3 cases. Age distributions o£ three boys and one girl were 5, 12, 14 and 16 years old respectively.
